Advanced Education Program
What is the Advanced Education Program?
Our Advanced Education program provides opportunities for post-high school students to continue their studies at a university or vocational training center, and ultimately secure stable employment. We help them as they take the last step towards breaking the cycle of poverty in their family.
By supporting our Advanced Education program, you’ll help our students soar to new heights!

From Cambodia’s most impoverished youth into tomorrow’s leaders
We believe our responsibility to our students does not end after they leave the Aloha Learning Center. When they enter high school, students meet regularly with an Advanced Education Program Coordinator to discuss their intentions after graduation and evaluate their skills and academic potential. These young adults are encouraged to pursue a university curriculum or vocational skill of their choosing, and are guided to fields that are in demand in the local job market. And all the while, they maintain relationships with their eFoster Parent sponsors who continue to encourage, mentor and support them.
Many of the students who participate in the Advanced Education program are the first in their families – sometimes even communities – to complete their primary education and continue with higher learning.
The Advanced Education Program puts our students on the path to independence.
A Culture of Giving Back
As the saying goes ‘it takes a village to raise a child’… but the reverse is also true! Many our Advanced Education graduates go on to help raise up the villages that raised them.
The salary in Cambodia for uneducated workers is about $60-80/month, and the average salary for our Advanced Education graduates is ____, with some even earning up to $300/month! Our graduates are able to provide for not only their immediate families, but in many cases their villages as well.
But it doesn’t stop there – many of our graduates return to visit the Aloha Learning Center, donating their money to buy food and school supplies for children, as well as taking the time to encourage and mentor students as they inspire the next generation of youth.
