Place of Birth: Kandal Province, Cambodia

Comments: Kuoy Sing's mother abandoned the family when he was very young. He has never been able to reconnect with his mother, nor does he remember her face. Kuoy Sing's father is jobless and homeless, and can't support Kuoy Sing or his brother, Sokfy. Prior to coming to FLOW, Kuoy Sing and his brother were temporarily placed in a center called "Krousar Thmey," but because Krousar Thmey does not provide long term stay and support for children, they were referred to FLOW to be taken care of and receive educational opportunities. At the same time, due to Kuoy Sing's father's miserable living conditions, the father was also offered employment at FLOW. With the help of a sponsor, Kuoy Sing can have a safe environment to grow up in and be given educational opportunities, in hopes that he will obtain a good job in the future and be able to break the cycle of poverty in his family.
